WOSSA Celebrates United Nations World Humanitarian Day 2026

Dr. Amb. Omotayo Thomas, President of the Widows and Orphans Support Society of Africa (WOSSA), joined the children of Christ Bethel Orphanage to commemorate the United Nations World Humanitarian Day on 19 August 2026. The occasion highlighted the importance of compassion, care and support for vulnerable members of society.

As part of the celebration, food items and cash gifts were donated to support the children’s welfare and everyday needs. The visit provided an opportunity to show the children that they are valued and that their well-being matters.

Through this outreach, WOSSA reaffirmed its commitment to supporting widows and orphans across Africa. The commemoration served as a reminder that humanitarian service begins with practical acts of kindness and a shared responsibility to care for those in need.
