WOSSA Celebrates UNITED NATIONS 2022 International Widows Day
In Conjunction with the United Nations, Widow and Orphans support Society of Africa WOSSA joined the world to celebrate International Widows Day on the 23rd of June 2022 through its poverty alleviation program to draw the attention of the public to render support to the widows in order for them to have financial independence.

The event took place at the Healing Camp Multipurpose Event Hall, Lekki Lagos with prestigious Dignitaries attending the event to celebrate and encourage the widows.
The President of the Foundation Dr Omotayo Thomas in his speech stated that there are solutions to achieving sustainable financial stability and Independence for the Widows in Nigeria through Relevant Skills Acquisition and Empowerment.

First Lady of the Lagos State Representative Mrs. S. O. Eleguishi stated that this platform will go a long way to reach out to the less privileged and Widows, ensuring they become self-reliant and Productive.
Over 200 Widows were thrilled with performance from The City of David Cultural Dance Group, Drama, and Music by Evangelist Taiwo Omo oro and Banji Rainbow
The widows were all given free medical welfare and food stuff as it is important that Good Health is also needed to eradicate Poverty and Financial instability.
